Course Summary

The objective of this course is to provide students with the required knowledge and skills to perform efficiently as professionals in the Natural Gas sector and to directly meet the needs of Nigerian gas industry by enabling students to be immediately functional in the workplace. Contemporary industry problems and fundamental issues central to the emerging Nigerian Gas Industry will be analysed and discussed through case studies. Specific topics include: Introduction; Geopolitics of Natural Gas; Overview of Natural Gas Value Chain - Discovery to End Use; Natural Gas Market Structures; Exploration and Production; Gas Processing; Gas Transportation; Gas Distribution System; and Overview of Nigeria Natural Gas Policy and Politics.
