In its pursuit to help Africa raise a new generation of researchers and professionals who will use their knowledge and expertise to facilitate clean energy transition, environmental sustainability and climate resilience on the continent, the International Support Network for African Development (ISNAD-Africa) hereby invites applications for its Mentoring for Research Programme (MRP) from students pursuing doctoral, master's and bachelor's degree programmes in African Universities. Successful applicants will be those who will be conducting their research on sustainable energy, environment and climate change topics in their various disciplines (Technology, Sciences, Arts, Law, Social Sciences, Environmental Design and Management, Agriculture, Health Sciences, ICT, among others). The mentoring programme will help students (mentees) complement the supervisory support they will receive from their institution-based supervisors, among other benefits.
All shortlisted applicants will be opportune to attend a 6-week online training to be hosted by the Clean Energy Solutions Center, Colorado, United States. Upon completion of the training, submitted applications and performances at the online training (of shortlisted applicants) will be assessed and used for final selection of mentees for the programme. Mentees will be opportune to receive one-to-one mentoring support from experienced researchers and professionals in our Mentors' Community from world-class organisations and institutions such as World Bank, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Chatham House, Harvard University, among international organisations and institutions.
