Course Summary
The course provides an overview of energy resources,
importance of technology, the concept of energy technology in terms of the means of locating, assessing, harvesting, transporting, processing, and transforming the primary energy forms found in nature and also the means of distributing secondary forms to their end users. Specific topics include: Energy and Technology; Energy Processes; Energy Efficiency; Energy Efficiency and Industrial Processes; Development of Unconventional Resources; Energy Technology Options; Emerging Technologies for Energy Production; Electricity Networks; Smart Energy Networks; Energy Technology Research & Development and Technology Road maps. There will also be visits to energy technology infrastructure all over the country.
