The Department of Agricultural Extension & Rural Development (AERD), University of Ibadan, in collaboration with the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL University of Ibadan) and the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN), visited Ajebamidele–Ipaye community, Ondo State, for an implementation planning meeting on cocoa rehabilitation.
The engagement brought together researchers, cocoa farmers and community leaders to advance improved cocoa production, establish a community nursery, and strengthen pathways for sustainable agricultural development. This is a meaningful step towards connecting knowledge, innovation and community action for stronger rural livelihoods.
The AERD team comprised Prof. Olutokunbo Oyesola (Head of Department), Prof. Rasak Olajide, and Miss Adeola Oredipe; CPEEL was represented by Prof. Olugbenga Falode (Director and Head of CPEEL), Dr. Kehinde Bewaji, Dr. Alex, and Engr. Ajide Akinola; while CRIN was represented by Dr. Amos Adegbola Oloyede (representing the Director of CRIN) and Dr. Anthony Agbongiarhuoyi.
