In May 2015, the Director of CPEEL was at the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), Dakar Senegal to facilitate the course; Macro-economic Modelling for Development Planners. The aim of the course is to develop participants’ understanding and use of different models in the analysis of national economies and its sectors. The course focused on how economic models are built and how to use models to enquire and answer questions regarding how shocks affect the economy.
