The 19th NAEE/IAEE Annual International Conference, themed “Evolution of Future Energy Mix in Africa:

The Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law is pleased to announce its active participation in the 19th NAEE/IAEE Annual International Conference, themed “Evolution of Future Energy Mix in Africa: The Role of Technology, Economics, and Public Policy,” held from April 26–28, 2026 at the Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

As Director of the Centre, I had the privilege of leading a delegation of over 60 students and 15 members of staff to this important gathering of energy scholars, policymakers, and industry experts. The conference provided a valuable platform for engaging with contemporary issues shaping Africa’s energy future, including the transition to sustainable energy systems, the role of innovation, and the impact of regulatory frameworks.

We are particularly proud that several of our students presented research papers at the conference, contributing meaningfully to discussions and showcasing the Centre’s commitment to academic excellence and policy-relevant research. Their participation reflects the strength of our training programs and our dedication to developing future leaders in the energy sector.

The Centre remains committed to fostering research, dialogue, and capacity building in petroleum, energy economics, and law, and we look forward to continued engagement with stakeholders across academia, government, and industry.

Signed,
Director
