Representatives of Facility for Oil Sector Transparency and Reform in Nigeria (FOSTER) paid a consultative visit to the Centre on August 4, 2015. The visit was to explore possible areas of collaborations between the two entities. CPEEL had in 2012, through funding received from FOSTER, conducted a comparative and analytical review of the Petroleum Industry Bill as well as a study on the (De)Regulation of the Petroleum Sector of Nigeria’s Economy.
Dr. Neil McCulloch, Director, Economic Policy Programme, Oxford Policy Management and Mr. Henry Adigun, FOSTER’s Technical Team Lead were present at the meeting, while CPEEL was ably represented by its management team. Possible areas of collaboration discussed include among others, evidence based research, policy advocacy, and internship opportunities for CPEEL students.
